Another Landslide Hits Rohingya Camp in Ukhiya Seven Children Killed After Women’s Madrasa Is Buried Four Rescued Alive

Seven children were killed and four others were rescued alive after a devastating landslide buried a women’s madrasa in the Rohingya refugee camps in Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar, on Wednesday afternoon.

The incident occurred following continuous heavy rainfall, which triggered the collapse of a nearby hillside onto the madrasa building. Rescue teams, local volunteers, and Rohingya residents rushed to the scene and carried out an emergency search and rescue operation.

According to local sources, the victims were trapped under the debris when the landslide struck the madrasa. Four children were rescued alive, while the bodies of seven children were recovered from the rubble.

Authorities and humanitarian agencies continue to monitor the situation as persistent monsoon rains increase the risk of further landslides across the Rohingya camps. Residents living in vulnerable hillside areas have been urged to move to safer locations.
